SJM Sports was founded in 2025 by Sam Menzin, a former Vice President and Assistant General Manager of the Detroit Tigers. During his tenure, Sam led player acquisition strategy, oversaw performance operations, and managed over $100 million in capital investments across training facilities, academies, and stadium upgrades. His expertise spans contract negotiation, salary arbitration, high-performance staffing, and talent pipeline development.

Sam began his career in sports with Turner-Gary Sports, a top player representation agency, and held previous roles with the New York Mets and Complete Game Institute. A native of Westbury, New York, Sam studied history and psychology at Swarthmore College and is currently completing his Executive MBA at the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College.
